FEELING FM : Today (April 13), I received a letter from Buenos Aires FM station Feeling FM QSLing a report I sent them 6 weeks ago for a re-transmission on 20276. Since I suspected that they were not aware of this additional outlet, I included a tape recording to prove the authenticity of my reception. They indeed answered that they don't know anything about 20276 and that it has not been authorized by them. I suspect this is true for all the Argentine FM stations that can be heard at times on 20276 and other strange SW channels. So if you are willing to invest in QSLing these stations, you should consider sending them a tape of the program you heard. Otherwise, your chances of getting any reply at all aren't good; they just will not believe that you heard them. By the way : xmsns on 20276 are not limited to the weekends. According to my observations during the past months, whenever the channel is not used for military SSB or phone patch-type traffic, you have a chance to listen to one of the FM stations of Argentina (Buenos Aires area). Argentine FMers on 15820 kHz : Unsigned letter from Feeling FM 100.7 with stickers and Argentina tourist map, for followup report for reception on 14 / 2 / 1998. Letter states (if my limited Spanish is correct; -) ) that several Buenos Aires FM stations are relayed on 15820 kHz for Argentine nationals working in Antarctica and for the United Nations in Europe. I received my quickest QSL ever yesterday. I logged R Buen Aire, Argentina 1630kHz on Saturday at 0510z, sent the report by e-mail at 2351z and received the reply at 0031z ! Ein Empfangsbericht per E-Mail an die argentinische Station AM 1630 wurde vom technischen Direktor Marcelo Escande nach 36 Minuten (!) mit einer E-Mail-QSL beantwortet ! Ein netter persönlicher QSL-Brief, dazu eine mit allen Details ausgefüllte QSL-Karte als.jpg und ein angehängtes Red 92 Jingle. Laut seiner Aussage betreibt AM 1630 einen kanadischen 30 kW Nautel-Sender, der aber nur mit 10 kW gefahren wird. Ich hatte ein kleines Realaudio-File mit der Stations-ID angehängt. A very nice way of QSL-ing via e-mail arrived this week from new 1630 RED 92, Argentina and Juan Marcelo Escande. He sent med the following confirmation and sticker and also a sound file with the station identification attached. Later, in another e-mail, he had prepared a nice looking coloured big QSL-card with all details included, sent as an ordinary e-mail. It's a pity that I haven't got a colour printer, but my friends have, so now I have a new, nice QSL-card, all coming from the Internet, in my collection. This maybe is the new way of getting the wanted QSL's and at the same time getting rid of the dull and gloomy e-mails. The following is the first QSL-text, after my air mail, including reception report and a cassette recording : " Estimado Bjorn Gracias por tu carta y por medio de este mail estoy confirmando que lo que escuchaste fue la AM 1630. y evidentemente la propagacion se cerro a las 24 : 00, estoy recibiendo muchos e-mails de esa zona, los datos de la son TX : NAUTEL XL-30 (canada), P.O. : 30 Kw, ANTENNA : 5 / 8 onda, BASE AISLADA (109 mts). The e-mail below was received this morning from Radio Cadena Central, Bernal, Argentina AM 1330. The station was heard in Ldemmenjoki in January 2000 and 2001, the latter year with the "RCC-Radio Cadena Central" ID. I received alreade in april 2002 an e-mail verification. Now it appears that the station also has been heard in Bologna.
