Von der ZNBC erhielt ich heute eine QSL. Empfangsdatum war der 23. Februar 2002 und die QRG war 6265 kHz. Die Laufzeit betrug also ueber 1 (ein) Jahr, was uns wieder lehrt, Geduld zu haben. 6065, Christian Voice, full data letter saying that my report was the most convincing yet received from the USA (see FAX) and that -there is a direct match between the programme content and your description of what you were hearing-. They are running 80kw and are now on between 1300- 2230 UTC. Besides 6065, they are also authorized to use 4968 and 7250 kHz. Signed by Andrew Flynn, Transmitter Engineer. -The transmitter we use is a continental type 418-E 100 kw and the antenna is a TCI omnidirectional log periodic array with 9db gain. We are located on the site of a farm approx 40 miles west of the capitaL, Lusaka. Christian Voice 6065 letter in one month for a taped report of my reception in Hawaii. Andrew Flynn says : -All the staff here were very excited at news of this (reception) and we were impressed with the quality of reception. In fact, Hawaii is exactly the other side of the world from us here in Zambia, give or take only about 100 km, so it could be regarded as a place where the waves emitted from our omnidirectional antenna meet up again.- He adds that they were using 50 kW at the time and that they anticipate using 7250 later this year. I have just received a verification letter from Christian Voice in Zambia, for a reception report for April 1st this year. The letter was sent on September 13th. A surprise from the letter is an e-mail address : cvoice@zamnet.zm - This might be a first for a shortwave station in Africa ! The current broadcasting schedule is 0930-1700 UTC on 6065 kHz 1700-2030 UTC on 4965 kHz Reception of CV is excellent here in Cape Town during the evening hours. Heute kam mal wieder eine QSL u.zw. von Christian Voice in Zambia mit kompletten Details (einschließlich tx: Continental 418E), Laufzeit 26 Tage, wenn ich den Stempel richtig auswerte brauchte die Karte von Lusaka bis in meinen Briefkasten nur 3 Tage. Da steht folgendes drauf: "1.8.0.20.2", die Bedeutung der ersten drei Ziffern ist mir aber rätselhaft (wenn dei Punkte anders gesetzt wären hätte es auch 18.02.02 sein können). Some time ago I received by post a qsl-card from Christian Voice in Zambia, verifying my reception report of 17 Apr 2007 on 4965. I already had a qsl from this station dating back some ten or more years, and I never reported them again. I checked my e-mail archive and noted I had contacted this station that day, but only asking for further info about their second (presumed) sw transmitter. ZAMBIA? - 13590 CVC. F/D rectangular card w/ reception data on the left side and printed station info on the right. Included in the latter is the "Site Address," given as Cox Peninsula Transmitter. No other indication of xmtr site on the card nor in the N/D form letter from "George" (unsigned), although I requested such. All reports that I've seen indicate this is from Lusaka from 1700-2100 UTC. Also rec'd a 2008 calendar.
