| At work today I was about to mail some letters (non dx) in our mailroom. As I passed our department's mail slots, I noticed a FAX in mine. I assumed a response to a work-related FAX from yesterday, but was surprised when it turned out to be an answer from Moises B. Cruz G., Ingeniero of Radio Imperial in El Salvador saying he received my correspondence and saying he was happy to know the station's signal was being received from so far away. Unfortunately that was the closest in the FAX to a confirmation. [..] The FAX was not on letterhead but plain and was signed on the bottom by Moises and also by Carolina de Cruz and the titles under the signatures were "Ingeniero y esposa", so it's a family thing. I sent them a registered letter on 2 October and included my business card since it says "engineer" on it. I thought this may help to get my letters to the engineering dept. | Radio Imperial QSL via FAX : As a follow-up to my sort of non-QSL, today at work I received a FAX from Radio Imperial, who filled out my ppc that I had FAX'd to them about 10 days ago. The v/s was Moises B. Cruz G., Ingeniero (compared signature to previous FAX). He apparently cut out the QSL section of my letter and attached it to his own handwritten letter. I didn't get it translated yet, but I see where he confirmed the reception in the body of the letter as Radio Imperial in addition to the imbedded ppc. I do not fill out my ppc. | 17835, Radio Imperial, Full data prepared card and two page handwritten letter from Pastor Pedro Mendoza received in 13 months after my original report; 6 weeks after my last follow up. Also enclosed was a cassette recording of their studio tape, with an enthusiastic preacher repeatedly saying my name and Nueva York. I sent them via registered mail a report in Spanish, audio tape, CD, and $5.00. Power listed as 1,000 watts.
